My name is Patrizio Bekerle, but everyone is calling me Cici (click here or here to hear how Cici is pronounced). I was born on 3rd of August 1978 in Graz (Austria), and went to school there for 13 years. 4ys primary school VS Strassgang, 4ys grammar school BRG Oeversee, 5ys technical college HTL Graz-Gösting BULME (technical telecommunication).
We live in a nice house in the southwest of Graz.
During my holidays I worked for Anton Paar (final inspection department), three times for AVL (software development, microprocessor circuit development and microprocessor programming) and for Interdata (hardware assembling).
After graduating at the technical college I started to study Telematik (a mix of telecommunication and computer science) at the Technical University Graz in 1997. There were quite interesting lectures and I passed all of the exams I inscribed, but much of the technical stuff I had already heard at the technical college. So in addition to my studies at the university, I started to work at the company PC-Team in 1999.
We worked on a universal software solution for roofers. After half a year (still in 1999) PC-Team merged with Wegger Elektronik in St. Martin am Wöllmissberg.
We worked there for one year, but after that our PC-Team subcompany got dismissed and we all had to look for a new job.
So I started at the small company Webconomy as a software developer again.
We had many interesting projects and grew very fast, but in 2001 I had to do my alternative civilian service (Zivildienst). So I did one year at the Red Cross Lieboch (some km south of Graz). After that year of civilian service I decided to stay with the Red Cross as a volunteer, and went back to work at Webconomy (where I'm still working).
